Spencer, MA—SpencerBANK and Southbridge Savings Bank employees recently teamed up by holding another Denim Day fundraising event. Employees collected $750 which was donated to the Power of One Campaign benefiting Harrington Recovery Services, a behavioral health initiative of Harrington Hospital.
Bank employees were given the opportunity to wear jeans to work on Friday, January 27th in exchange for a donation to support the Power of One Campaign. Donations made to this campaign will benefit Harrington Hospital’s Recovery Services at Webster and will allow individuals suffering from mental health and substance use disorders access to the treatment they need.
“Once again, we are pleased to have joined forces for such an important cause,” said President and CEO of SpencerBANK K. Michael Robbins. “I am proud of our employees for coming together to help raise awareness in support of the Power of One Campaign.”
The Harrington Recovery Services program is a comprehensive continuum of care—from a 16-bed inpatient co-occurring diagnosis unit to individualized outpatient therapy. The facility will be the first inpatient unit in central and western Massachusetts to offer treatment for patients with both psychiatric and substance use disorders.
