Worcester, MA—Cornerstone Bank’s Charitable Donations Committee (CDC) is proud to announce its recent donation of $1,000 to Worcester Interfaith in support of its Youth Job Initiative. This initiative provides summer jobs to as many as 400 low-income, minority, and newcomer youth each summer. Each participant receives ten hours of pre-employment training, ongoing supervision, and mentorship, as well as further training at their workplace.

Worcester Interfaith is a multi-use, broad-based community organization that builds connections between congregational and community leaders across religious, socio-economic, racial, and ethnic boundaries. They currently work on four major initiatives: youth jobs, living-wage jobs for adults, affordable housing, and refugee/immigrant resettlement.

“Worcester Interfaith works to improve and strengthen the community,” stated Chairman and CEO K. Michael Robbins of Cornerstone Bank. “We’re honored to be able to support one of their many initiatives.”
