Jacob Edwards Library is the public library for the town of Southbridge. Located at 236 Main Street, in the downtown, it is a community hub. The staff is committed to the promotion of reading, education, literacy, culture, and lifelong learning for everyone in the community. The library has 95,000 items in the collection ranging from books, audiobooks, DVDs, music and games that are available to be borrowed. Monthly rotating art shows, screening of foreign and indie movies, creative writing workshop, anime club, story hours are among some of the exciting programs that are on offer at the library. All programs are free and everyone is welcome!

Monday and Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m (September to May)

During a time of great stress, why not think about stopping by the library to sit and relax? The reading room offers a nice view of Main Street while you retreat from the hustle and bustle. With a library card, you can borrow materials. There is a free WiFi service available 24/7, extending as far as the parking lot. Computers are readily available too!
