This Independence Day running a race dedicated to one of our fallen heroes might be a great activity to do to start your holiday festivities. The Leonide J. Lemire Road Race is a 4.9 mile run starting at 9:00am on Everett Street at the YMCA. This is the 70th running.  Leonide was the first Southbridge resident to die in service in World War II.  Lemire was in the Navy and was a Seaman First Class on the U.S.S West Virginia.
