Saturday Oct. 4th at 9:30 to Noon, walk the Opacum Woods conservation area with Board Member Howie Fife.
Walk an easy 2.5 mile hike. At 10:15, we will cut the ribbon on the new trail bridge spanning Honey Brook – an Eagle Scout project undertaken by Tantasqua High School student Logan Melican, and his friends from Sturbridge Boy Scout Troop 161.
To get to Opacum Woods, take New Boston Road north from Route 20 in Sturbridge, just east of the 131 intersection. On New Boston Road take your fourth right into “The Preserve” subdivision, and then your second left on to Old Brook Circle. The trailhead is at the end of the cul-de-sac.
