Event Description

After a successful cleanup effort on the weekend July 30 & 31 The Recover, Repair, Rebuild Initiative in Brimfield led by residents Cosmo Casamassa and Mark Forsman in partnership with State Representative Todd Smola and The Massachusetts Service Alliance including AmeriCorps members from across the state for another mass one day cleanup effort as part of the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance.

On the 10th anniversary of 9/11, our goal is to inspire the community by volunteering and engaging in acts of compassion to support our local neighbors affected by the disaster in honor of the 9/11 victims, survivors and families. To learn more about the 9/11 Day of Service, visit

Homeowners affected by the storm and still needing assistance are encouraged to sign up using the "Home Owner Registration" on

Volunteers are needed to help cut, move, and stack brush, wood and debris.  Are you or someone you know proficient with a chain saw? Do you work for a business or know someone that has access to equipment such as chippers, backhoes, bobcats, or skidders?  If yes, we need your help so please sign up using the "Volunteer Sign Up Form" on and provide us with the details.

Once registered you will receive a confirmation email and between Sept 5th & Sept 9th you will receive an email with your registration location and additional information.
