On Oct. 27, Bay Path College will be holding a Leading with Compassion event at its Central Mass Campus in Sturbridge. The seminars will take place from 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and are open to the public. You may attend all three or any ones that you'd like. Topics include:
Compassionate Finances: Get your financial house in order! Speaker: Tom Benham -- 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Compassionate leadership begins at home. This workshop will focus on you taking the leadership role as the manager of your household's finances. Understanding how your FICO score affects every aspect of your daily life will be presented. We will take on the approach that you are not alone in your struggles with your family finances. Finally, we will discuss ways to increase your FICO score, reduce your debt and even explore ways to start saving money and building a nest egg.
Compassionate Parenting: Work/Life/Balance Speaker: Bill Corbett -- 10:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
Raising children in today's "high-speed" world requires a different approach on parenting and a different set of parent tools. It also requires using a higher level of emotional intelligence to get our kids to listen and cooperate. This session will offer anyone who lives with or cares for children an opportunity to "rebuild" their discipline toolbox with parenting methods that come from a position of compassion in building the adult-child relationship. The result will be greater peace and cooperation at home.
Treat Yourself Compassionately: Stress Management/Resiliency Speaker: Rita Schiano 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Compassionate leadership begins with self-understanding; with knowing how to care for your well-being, and how to summon your resiliency during crises or watershed moments in life. During this workshop you'll learn how to recognize the physical signs of stress, explore key characteristics of resiliency, and learn ways to apply these techniques, skills and attitudes in your life.
Refreshments will be served. Seating is limited. To reserve a spot please contact Traci Romaniak at (800) 495-7284 or email@example.com.
