Are you a caring, flexible person who in interested in doing meaningful work in a non-traditional setting? Do you have a spare bedroom to welcome someone into your home? If so, Seven Hills Family Services is in need of you as a Shared Living Provider/Caregiver! Shared living is an option for providing individualized home support for an adult or child in your home as a contracted home provider. Seven Hills Family Services provides this opportunity throughout Massachusetts as a subcontractor but is not considered a benefits-eligible employment position. Participation provides qualified caregivers with a generous, tax-free stipend, paid time-off, comprehensive training, 24-hour case management (including 24-hour on-call assistance) and respite support.
The program gives adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live in a typical community setting while receiving encouragement and direct care support to obtain personal goals and dreams. The program strives to match participants with caregivers who have similar interests and personalities to ensure the happiness and well-being of all involved. There is a qualification process that includes a background and reference check, home inspection, and medical consent. To be a qualified caregiver, you must be an adult who rents or owns a home, is capable of caring for another person, has the ability to maintain a positive attitude and environment, has a flexible schedule, and can effectively communicate with all team members.
Come hear about the rewards of opening your heart and home to someone in need.
