It's a day to embrace the joys of an old-fashioned winter, complete with ice skating, sledding on vintage 1830s sleds, and horse-drawn sleigh rides.
Join us at the Village's Mill Pond to watch ice harvested* with vintage ice-cutting tools and learn how early New Englanders cut blocks of ice and shipped them around the world before the invention of electrical refrigeration.
Afterwards, warm up with hot cider, stories, songs and fireside tales at the Bullard Tavern. Watch magician Robert Olson demonstrate 18th century-magic tricks.
(*Ice cutting demonstrations are weather and proper conditions permitting.)
