Cooking with Rico: Sunday Dinner
Thursday, August 21 • Avellino • 6:30pm
Most of us remember, well some of us remember, the tradition of the family dinner where the family would gather around the table after mom cooked most of the day and was delighted to have the home team in place for as long as we could sit still. Sadly, most of us can’t imagine cooking these Sunday dinners today; they seem old-fashioned. Who’s got six hours to make dinner? We're too busy right? According to surveys, however, that's beginning to change. This is good. Studies show that children who eat meals with their families are less likely to have behavioral problems, more likely to do well in school, and more likely to have a healthier diet. More good news, Rico is going to teach us some simple recipes that draw from his Sunday dinner memories and show us that dinner on Sunday doesn’t have to take all day to prepare. For this “Cooking with Rico” event you will not only experience some great food, but you will also learn how to prepare them in your home and create some new memories you’ll enjoy for years to come.
