Cooking with Rico:
An Evening in Rome • La Cucina Romana
Thursday, September 19, 2013 • 6:30pm
They say, when in Rome, you should do as the Romans do. We would say, when in Rome, eat as the Romans do. Since getting to Rome is a little more tricky than getting to Avellino, Chef Rico will be preparing a multi-course menu with some of the best traditional Roman Italian dishes. Roman cuisine has been influenced over the centuries by the many different cultures conquered during the heady years of the Roman empire. Heavier on meat and butter and less focused on pasta with red sauce, Roman food—La Cucina Romana is an experience unto itself. Famous dishes include Saltimbocca alla Romana, Fettuccine al Burro, and Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe. Come along for a trip to Romana with Rico and enjoy a great meal while you learn to prepare these traditional Roman-inspired dishes. As always, you’ll get to try them all with wine parings and receive recipe cards to take home.
This event is $52* per person with wine pairings or $40* without. Tax and gratuity are not included. Make your reservations now by calling Avellino at 508-347-2321.
