Tour the Village root cellars and learn how they were used.
Learn about the teasel plant and see how it is used to transform wool into flannel.
Demonstrations and hands-on activities get visitors close to the action. See horse-powered apple grinding (Saturday) and pressing (Sunday) at the Cider Mill. Watch field mowing or assist with plowing, and grain threshing. Watch butter, cheese, and ice cream being made.
Help knit or crochet scarves for soldiers through Knitting for a Cause.
Home gardeners can enter their heirloom vegetables and flowers in a competition for premiums following 19th-century judging standards. Visitors can also cast their ballot for their favorite items.
See demonstrations of botanical watercolor painting.
