What a pain it is to have sore feet!!! The situation can be exacerbated when it is accompanied by the complication of diabetes. If you have any interest in either of these topics, then consider attending the Harrington Auxiliary’s 3rd annual medical symposium for the general public.
In anticipation of the approach of National Diabetes Month, the evening’s highlight will be a presentation by two of the hospital’s physicians: David Erani, M.D. specializing in Endocrinology and Georgios Poniros, D.P.M. with a background in podiatry. Further, supplementary personnel will be available to enlighten attendees about the health benefits of gentle foot massage, as well as therapies available at the Wound Care Center at Harrington HealthCare.
Hopefully everyone will leave with tips about improving overall well being. An added bonus is the opportunity to partake of a light meal of soup, salad and fruit nutritionally planned by the Food & Nutrition Services at Harrington.
Further questions and a payment of $10 per person (check made payable to the Harrington Auxiliary) can be directed to the Volunteer Office. Space is limited so pre-register.
