The Last Green Valley, Inc. will be hosting its 5th Annual Great Brochure Swap, on Monday, June 18, from 5 – 6:30 p.m. at the Comfort Inn & Suites, 16 Tracy Rd., Dayville, CT.
All attractions, museums, accommodations, campgrounds, shops, galleries, restaurants, information rack hosts and other tourism-related entities are invited to participate. They should bring a minimum of 500 brochures or rack cards for distribution to more than 70 information racks throughout the 35 towns of The Last Green Valley and to share with one another.
“Through partnership-building events such as this, we are better able to provide our visitors and residents with the tools and information for them to have truly unique and memorable experiences in The Last Green Valley. We also collectively benefit in the long-run by increasing awareness and visitation to our beautiful region,” expressed Charlene Perkins Cutler, TLGV Executive Director. “The result of these promotional efforts is the significant economic impact of tourism to The Last Green Valley which totaled $234 million in 2011.
This is a 50% increase over the previous year, based on documented attendance figures of 1.67 million visitors.”
TLGV will be unveiling its new iPhone/Smartphone Application, in addition to its new logo and branding initiative. Special guests include, Zach Bond and Mike Dawson of The Last Green Festival to talk about the 3-day music, arts, food, film and green-living festival coming to The Last Green Valley September 28 – 30 at the historic Brooklyn Fairgrounds. There is no charge to participate and light refreshments will be served.
