Guitar Concert at the Sturbridge Federated Church
On Saturday, November 12 at 7:00 PM, the Sturbridge Federated Church will host "500 Years of Music for Guitar" - Music from the Renaissance to the Contemporary, featuring guitarist Peter Griggs, The concert will take place in the Church sanctuary, 8 Maple Street, Sturbridge. A “coffee-and” reception will follow.
The program will include music by Gaspar Sanz, Johann Sebastian Bach, Bartolome Calatuyud, Django Rheinhardt and Thelonious Monk, as well as Flamenco, Brazilian music and several of Griggs' own compositions. Peter Griggs is an internationally renowned guitarist and composer from New York City and Germany. Over the last several years, he has presented more than 300 solo guitar concerts worldwide.
