As you hopefully already know, Saturday, August 18 kicks off our pilot program for the Sturbridge Shuttle. For the next six Saturdays (August 18-September 22), the Sturbridge Shuttle will be stopping at hotels and businesses along Route 131 and Route 20, from 2pm -11pm. A complete list of stops is attached. This is a FREE service funded during this pilot phase by the Sturbridge Tourism Association and managed by the new Sturbridge Business Advocacy Group (BAG). This pilot program was initiated to test the demand and interest in a complimentary service that will help our hospitality guests easily and conveniently enjoy our town's many dining, shopping and entertainment options.
The success of this venture going forward is based on the success of this pilot program! A representative from the Sturbridge BAG will be stopping by your business next Wednesday afternoon (August 15th) to drop off marketing materials that we hope you will proudly display and promote in your place of business. We are happy to answer any additional questions you may have about the program at this time, as well.
During this six-week trial we will be keeping close track of how many guests use this service and the places we drop them off. We will keep you apprised of this information on a weekly basis via email. At the end of the trial period we will reach out again with a final analysis and recommendations, and costs for continuing this service on our own as a business community.
Please help us make this program a success - we've been talking about it for years now let's put it to the test!
