Wednesday evening, May 8th will be the date of the kick-off meeting and public forum on Route 20 improvements in the Sturbridge Commercial Tourism District. Town Hall is the site of the meeting, which starts at 6:30 pm. Issues to be reviewed and discussed at the kick-off meeting include pedestrian safety, traffic, parking, walkability, crosswalks, trail access, gateways and overall aesthetics and character of the area.
The focus area of the Route 20 improvements stretches along Main Street. The western boundary is the Holland Road/Brookfield Road intersection. The focus area includes an additional mile east of Cedar extending to New Boston Road.
The kick-off meeting starts at 6:30 pm at Veterans’ Memorial Hall, 308 Main Street, Sturbridge. Refreshments will be served. The meeting is organized and sponsored by the Town of Sturbridge and the Sturbridge Planning Board. All are welcomed and encouraged to come.
