THE ORGANIZATION: Habitat for Humanity-MetroWest/Greater Worcester (HFH-MWGW) is an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International We are a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent, affordable place to live in dignity and safety. The ReStore is a retail social venture of HFH-MWGW and a catalyst for affiliate growth providing income to the organization. Donated new and used building and home improvement materials are resold to the public at reduced prices at the ReStore. The Mission of the ReStore is to generate revenue, meet budget and maintain profitability goals through the acquisition, management and marketing of ReStore products. The ReStore Manager will build awareness and drive contributions for store donations, revenue growth and expansion by developing effective marketing activities that cultivate relationships with community businesses, trade associations, churches, organizations, individual donors and others in support of the ReStore and the organization’s mission in the community. The ReStore Manager is responsible for all aspects of store operations internally and externally. These include security of store assets, staff and volunteer management, safety and a workplace culture for high quality donor, volunteer, staff and customer experiences. The ReStore Manager reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the ReStore Committee. In addition to significant ReStore revenue growth in Worcester, the affiliate’s goal is to open other stores in Boston’s metro-west area over time.
