Until the June 1 tornado, Hollow Brook Farm was also a venue for sleigh rides and a Christmas shop, plus used its horses to pull wedding coaches in warmer weather. The farm's situation was detailed in several Telegram & Gazette Stories, with the sleighs and carriages gone, barns blown away, shop critically damaged and some home damage as well. But the Christmas trees are still there and doing fine. I hope those who like to cut their own will go out there. I was given this info:
$30 FOR ALL, ANY SIZE EXCEPT CONCOLOR & BLUE SPRUCE-$40
OPEN 9-5 FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY.
It was for several years my tree spot of choice and what's more fun than hunkering down in the snow to slice a trunk? I can think of several things, but the point is if you are gonna get one anyway why not have a nice ride and feel good about the purchase?
Please feel free to pass this event on ...
DIRECTIONS: Hollow Rd. is Left off Rt. 20 at the curve heading west just after the flea market fields end, there's a sign on the corner and it's a half mile or so on left)
