After Sandy: Red Cross Seeks Volunteers & Donations

Hurricane Sandy may have moved on – but millions are without power, transportation systems are crippled, more flooding is expected and your help is urgently needed.

When disasters, like superstorm Sandy, devastate communities, your support helps ensure the American Red Cross is there to provide warm meals, shelter, and hope to families when they need it most.  Your generosity makes a huge difference. You can donate on-line using the “button below” or you can text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

More than 325 blood drives have been cancelled due to the storm. Giving blood is a great way to make a difference – and feel great yourself !  Just visit www.redcrossblood.org

2700 trained Red Cross volunteers are assisting with recovery efforts across 16 states. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer – check out local opportunities at www.redcross.org/cwm

Be better prepared for the next disaster. Check out the free Red Cross Hurricane app which can be found in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store by searching for “American Red Cross”
