We have a great group of ladies who love to knit, crochet and embroider. They will keep you in "stitches" new people always welcome, any level of ability.
Movie buff? We show movies twice a month and have Film Appreciation with Film Professor Dr. Carol Mitchell.
Books more your thing? Join our book club or sit, read and relax in our library. We also have Library in Motion for home delivery services.
Maybe you're more competitive: How about Trivia, Family Feud or other fun games? Got one you want to share?
Still no? Need something more physical? How about Fitness classes-6 classes offered weekly!! This is our higher intensity class. We also have Fit4Life, Silver Sneakers, Yoga and Floor Yoga, if you would prefer to work out alone, come check out our mini gym with bike, treadmills and weights. All ability levels welcome.
We offer educational workshops, presentations and talks every month, see what's happening this month: November is Diabetes Awareness Month.
S.A.L.T. (Seniors and Law enforcement Working together)
Sturbridge took the "Pledge" on October 15th with the Massachusetts Council on Aging (MCOA) to become a Dementia Friendly Community; maybe you or someone you know is living with this terrible disease. Join our Task Force to make Sturbridge Dementia Friendly, or just come to our talks and presentations. We also offer Support Groups for all types of caregivers and weight loss.
We also have a Memory Café for anyone and their caregivers living with a memory injury or illness. Anyone from any town, of any age is always welcome.
Okay, you have to eat- we offer lunches everyday, Monday thru Friday at 11:30am Cost is $3 donation. Sign up with Tri-Valley at least 36 hours in advance to come eat with us.
We are also known for our Senior Center Shenanigans:
Sing Along with Sue, Get Pretty with Polly, Timeless Treasures, monthly parties and fun events. Chat with Gin & Satch (Satch Sanders-retired Celtics basketball player).
We keep you in the loop: Town employees come and speak to our seniors about things happening in town: Town Clerk, Town Assessors office, Recreation Dept. etc.
We also keep you healthy with Foot Care with Nurse Jayne (Diabetics welcome), Heritage Hearing, Flu Clinics and monthly presentations and workshops.
Bread and sweets donated weekly by Sturbridge Stop & Shop.

The senior center works closely with it's COA (Council on Aging) Board and the Friends of the Senior Center Board.
