If the calendar gives a business person any slack time, there is no more fruitful way to spend it than networking. On Sept. 23, Community Business Associates provides a public opportunity both to learn and practice the craft of networking to overcome the challenges of today’s economy.
It’s Visitors Day at the Friday-morning session of CBA, the Central Mass South Chamber of Commerce networking/referrals program. Motivational speaker and author Dennis McCurdy will set the tone with “Business Networking in a Tough Economy,” designed for business and professional people.
McCurdy has focused on personal achievement and development for more than three decades. A voracious reader and student of life skills, McCurdy believes anyone can build the life they want.
First-time visitors and returning guests are welcome at the Oliver Wight Tavern at Old Sturbridge Village. The program begins at 7:15 a.m. and gives visitors the opportunity to make their enterprises known as well as finding out more about networking and referrals through the CBA. It ends at 8:30, a jump-start to the business day.
“Networking is relationship-building, and that’s the foundation for business growth and customer satisfaction,” said Bob Datz, CBA president. “We’ve got that focus and a community focus as well.”
Coffee and pastries will be provided at the Visitors Day.
