Bikes and Beers! Who could ask for more on a summer afternoon?
With Rapscallion Brewery in Sturbridge as a home base, join Opacum Land Trust for a scenic ride through Sturbridge, Brimfield, Brookfield and surrounding towns and take in the beauty of the several properties Opacum Land Trust has conserved.
Riders can choose a family-friendly 7.5 mile loop or opt for a 25, 50 or 100 mile ride.
We’ll be finishing with a party at Rapscallion/Hyland Orchard -- music by Tony Soul Project -- and a complimentary beer or beverage for registered riders.
“Opacum Amber Ale” will be featured; a special recipe unearthed specifically to raise awareness and funds for Opacum's work ($1 per pint sold will be donated to the organization).
Food will be available from Rapscallion Food Truck, and the brewery's disc golf course will be open as well.
Registration is $50, online at www.BikeReg.com/tour-opacum; route maps available. Rest stops with food and water and support vehicle emergency assistance are available. Proceeds from this ride will support the land conservation work of Opacum Land Trust.
Thank you to our sponsor, Southbridge Credit Union, and the generous support of the Sturbridge Tourist Association.
