Over Time Across The Sky is an exhibit featuring highlights from the history of hot air balloons and airship from early hot air ballooning to current scientific and recreational balloon and airship activities. A must see show for the aviation enthusiasist! Exhibit includes books and memorabilia related to hot air balloons and airships from the personal collection of Jackie Mushinsky, who designed and created the display. On display at Jacob Edwards Library, 236 Main Street, Southbridge, MA through the month of November.
A reception will be held on Thursday, November 3rd from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All welcome. Light refreshments provided by the Friends of the Jacob Edwards Library.
Ms Mushinsky previously exhibited Code Talkers about the Native Americans, mostly from the Navajo nation, contribution to secret communication during World War II.
As a member of the Exhibits Committee at Gordon Library, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Jackie Mushinsky has designed and implemented many small to medium sized displays in the library and assisted in preparing materials for larger exhibits. She recently created a display about the History of Hot Air Balloons and Airships, which was shown during the summer months at Gordon Library. The Hot Air Balloon display for the Jacob Edwards Library in Southbridge,MA, is a spin-off of the earlier display, with the addition of a number of items from Jackie’s personal collection of hot air balloon and airship memorabilia. From the whimsical to the more serious aspects, this exhibit focuses on many highlights in the history of lighter than air flight.
