We are happy to welcome visitors back to the Village! As we reopen, our goals are to provide a safe environment for all staff and visitors, use our unique outdoor environment to expand our stories of early New England life, and to deliver the engaging, educational experiences you’ve come to expect at Old Sturbridge Village.
Please visit our website for more details and the latest updates.
Our costumed historians will be interpreting throughout the Village. Many of our visitors’ favorite programs have been adapted for viewing outside of the buildings, while new programming has been developed to feature additional outdoor activities at the households and trade shops – allowing us to tell even more stories about life in the 1830s. Upon opening, historical interpretation will be conducted outside of the buildings. Some buildings are currently closed, but as the season progresses, we will open buildings in phases with occupancy limits. In the meantime, guests can watch a variety of demonstrations and talk with costumed historians outside!
For those who aren’t able to visit us just yet, we will continue our Virtual Village programming that we have been providing throughout our closure.
Please read through our new policies and procedures to ensure an enjoyable return to the Village.
We are also recommending that all visitors familiarize themselves with the guidelines from MA and the state they are coming from before visiting the Village to make a decision they’re comfortable with.
Up to three kids 17 and younger are admitted FREE when accompanied by an adult paying full admission in July 2020, thanks to our generous sponsor Country Bank! See details here.
