The second annual International Moments in Southbridge chefs’ tasting and family fun day will be held this year on Saturday, October 5th, and the planning committee hopes that you have the whole day set aside to attend the festival.
Chefs tastings from Avellino, Francescos Italian Bakery, Vienna, Zorbas and more!, Live Entertainment, Big Silent Auction, Face Painting, World Crafts, Clock Doc Eric Wilhelm, and more.
A pumpkin decorating contest for children will be held as part of the festival. Prizes will be awarded for the Scariest Pumpkin and for the Most Creative Pumpkin in two age categories through grade six. For a $2.00 entry fee, each child (accompanied by a parent) will receive a pumpkin and a keepsake. Adults will be on hand with craft materials to supervise the fun. Children may work on their pumpkin creations between 10 AM and Noon for prizes to be awarded at 12:30 PM, or between 1:00 and 2:30 PM for prizes to be awarded at 3 PM.
A 40 to 50 mile recreational bicycle ride on roads through the scenic Quinebaug River Valley, sponsored by "The Last Green Valley" will also be held the morning of the Festival. Start and finish at Elm Street Congregational Church's International Moments Festival, where all can enjoy foods from local restaurants and family fun.
